Payment Methods

We accept Cash, Credit Cards, Debit Cards, and E-Transfer.

The remaining balance is collected in person at check-in.

Security Deposit

A security deposit of $500 per Jet Ski is required, payable by Cash, Credit Card, Debit Card, or E-Transfer. The deposit is collected at check-in and returned at the end of the rental if there are no damages or incidental fees.

Check-in

Please bring your Photo ID and chosen payment method to check-in.

Our check-in location is across the street from the Marina Parking Lot at 600 Liverpool Rd. Look for the sign with Frenchman's Bay Marina and our white tent or table setup near the entrance.

Pull up to the tent first with your vehicle. If you've pre-paid for a parking pass, we'll hand it to you there. If not, we'll direct you to public parking.

If you don't see the tent, check inside the marina near the Dock Master's Office - a small square building with a blue roof. If you still can't find us, call 647-822-0990 and we'll guide you in.

Washrooms / Changerooms

Private key-access washrooms and changerooms are available at the marina. Please ask our staff for the access key.

Arrive early if you need to use the facilities - rental time begins at your booked start time.

Storage / Lockers

We don't have individual lockers or storage at the marina. We recommend keeping valuables in your vehicle.

Each Jet Ski has a storage bin (approximately the size of a medium backpack), but it isn't waterproof. You can also leave sensitive items with our staff and we'll lock them in our admin area.

Clothing Recommendations

You will get wet while riding, so dress accordingly. We don't supply any clothing items. Clothing suggestions vary by month - see the guide below.

HEAD
All-season: Cheap polarized sunglasses. There's a risk of losing them, so don't bring a pair you can't afford to lose. Cheap polarized sunglasses are easy to find on Amazon. Avoid hats with a brim - they'll catch wind and fly off.

CHEST
May / September: One-piece wet-suit or wet-suit top. Alternative: dry-fit t-shirt + windbreaker. Swimsuit underneath.

June / July / August: One-piece wet-suit or rash-guard. Alternative: dry-fit t-shirt or swimsuit. A windbreaker is still worth bringing - if you get too hot, stash it in the storage bin.

LEGS
May / September: One-piece wet-suit or wet-suit bottom. Alternative: wind and water-resistant pants. Swimsuit underneath.
June / July / August: One-piece wet-suit or swimsuit bottoms.

FEET
May / September: Neoprene boots or water shoes.
June / July / August: Water shoes or barefoot. Avoid sandals - they can come loose and float away.
When riding a Jet Ski you're mostly dealing with air temperature, not water temperature (unless you go into the water).

Below is a general wet-suit temperature guide - note it assumes full water submersion.

Water temperature forecast is in the Weather section below.

Items to Bring

Action camera
Water-resistant sunscreen
Water bottles
Snacks
Cell phone (in a dry bag) or marine radio (VHF)
Change of clothes
Towel
Dry bag
Sunglasses with floating strap
Your own children's lifejackets (we don't supply children's sizes)
Note: GTA Lake Rentals is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items.

Weather Policy

We only operate in safe weather conditions. Bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled due to thunderstorms, heavy rain, fog, or high winds.

If we cancel or reschedule due to weather, you'll receive a full refund or credit (your choice). We'll contact you by phone to arrange the details.

Light rain won't affect your experience - you'll get wet riding anyway.

Passenger Restrictions: On days with rougher water conditions, we may restrict rentals to solo riders only (no passengers). This is a safety decision made at our discretion and communicated at check-in.

Water temperature and wind forecast are below.

Boating Licenses

We issue temporary boating licenses (Rental Boat Safety Checklist) on behalf of Transport Canada - our staff are trained and certified.

Already have your own PCOC (Pleasure Craft Operator Card)? Bring it with you and present it at check-in.

Safety Equipment

We provide adult lifejackets and PFDs (Personal Flotation Devices). We don't provide children's sizes - please bring your own.

Additional safety equipment as required by Transport Canada is onboard every machine.

Safety Briefing

A comprehensive safety briefing takes place onshore before your rental start time. The briefing covers all essential and required instructions as per Transport Canada.

Following the briefing carefully is the best way to ensure a safe, fun experience on the water. Please give our staff your full attention during this time - reckless operation is the leading cause of preventable incidents, and we reserve the right to end a rental if unsafe behaviour is observed.

Operating Instructions

A hands-on lesson is provided onshore when you're boarded. We'll go over how to safely operate the machine (turning, stopping, accelerating) and what to do in case of an emergency.

First Time Riders

Over 75% of our customers are first-timers. We provide every customer the same thorough lesson and briefing - first-timer or returning rider.

We want you to have a safe and memorable experience, and that starts with our safety procedures. By the time you're on the water, you'll be knowledgeable enough to operate confidently.

Safety Video

We've attached a video below for your reference. It's not mandatory to watch beforehand - everything in the video is covered in person at your safety briefing.
